POWER FORWARD

I was born and raised in Takoradi Ghana. My childhood wasn’t that fun and friends used to laugh at me because of my height. Sometimes, I had to help sell in the market with my family to get something to eat and drink. After all my struggles, my only hope left me and that’s my mother.  It came to a time I had to drop out of school because there was nothing for me to eat or take any to school for lunch. It was very hard for us. Coach Oxy from Charm Basketball met me during volleyball and netball inter-schools program. He talked to my parents and they agreed to let me join Charm Basketball Academy, and he explained everything to my father. When I joined the basketball team, I worked very hard to understand the game and I always put effort to learn the game to improve. I joined the team in March 2024, and through this program I was able to then join Cresset Christian Academy and FBC as a student-athlete. I want to play basketball at the highest level to become a professional basketball player. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and my dream to become a professional basketball player. I want to achieve success in life and get back to my local community in Ghana to make an impact, share what Im learning with to the young ones and to give back to society.
